Modernity: A blessing and a curse.

I see this world as a two-sided coin. On the one hand I am amazed at the constant innovation and progression in technology-- the things we can do are incredible. And just as a people in general, the difference between now and a hundred years ago is staggering. On the other hand, I am appalled at what has been lost because of it. What does it matter if I can watch TV on my phone if what I am watching is worthless and demoralizing.
